Color Coated Steel Coil
>
Film build is the variable that most often separates a coil that lasts fifteen years from one that fails in five, and it is invisible once the product is wrapped. This prepainted galvanized steel coil is produced with a nominal top coat of 25 micrometre plus or minus 5, measured continuously across the strip and confirmed on a sample from both head and tail. The primer, colour coat and back coat are applied in line, cured at controlled peak metal temperature and checked for adhesion, gloss and hardness before the coil is released. Thickness range runs from 0.12 mm to 1.20 mm and width up to 1250 mm, matching the dimensional envelope used by most roofing and panel fabricators in Europe, the Middle East and South America.

Uniform film build matters most on long run roofing and cladding where a single thin patch becomes the visible start of corrosion. Applications include industrial roofing and wall panels, cold storage envelopes, commercial facades, garage doors, roller shutters and ventilation ducting. Buyers exporting to markets with formal inspection regimes value the recorded thickness data because the film build can be verified on arrival without destructive testing. The same specification is used for appliance side panels and office furniture where a consistent gloss level across large surfaces is part of the product appearance, and for transport industry panels that must survive repeated washing.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceCoils are interleaved with waterproof paper, fitted with edge protectors and strapped on wooden skids sized for 20 and 40 foot containers. The label records coil number, top coat thickness, primer and back coat build, gloss, hardness and net weight. A coating thickness report and adhesion test sheet are issued with the mill certificate, and a retained sample from head and tail is stored for twelve months. If a customer reports a film defect, the retained sample and the gauge log allow us to reconstruct the exact coating conditions of that coil within one working day.
