Color Coated Steel Coil
>
Fluorocarbon coatings occupy the top of the prepainted steel hierarchy, and this PVDF fluorocarbon coated prepainted steel coil is produced with a polyvinylidene fluoride top coat formulated for a twenty year exterior service expectation on architectural facades. The resin system holds its colour and gloss under high ultraviolet load, resists industrial pollutants and withstands the acid cleaning agents used on building exteriors in polluted cities. Thickness ranges from 0.30 mm to 1.20 mm and width up to 1250 mm, suiting cassette panels, profiled cladding and soffit systems, and the coating is supplied with accelerated weathering data so the specifier can compare against the project durability requirement.

PVDF coated coil is specified for building facades where the paint film is expected to last as long as the structure envelope: airport terminals, stadium canopies, exhibition centres, corporate headquarters cladding, transport interchanges, hotel canopies and prestige industrial buildings. It is also used for soffits, fascia, column casings, louvres and sunscreen elements where a consistent colour across many folded components is essential. Because the finish keeps its gloss, it is frequently chosen for visible architectural elements that would otherwise require periodic repainting at height, where maintenance access alone can exceed the material cost difference between polyester and fluorocarbon.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceCoils are protected with waterproof paper interleaf, plastic film and fibreboard edge rings, strapped on wooden skids with lifting marks printed on the wrap. Because the finish is a visible architectural surface, packing is designed to prevent abrasion during transit: no metal to metal contact and no direct strapping over the painted face. Labels record the colour reference, coating system, film build and coil weight. The document pack includes weathering test data, adhesion and bend test results, salt spray hours and the mill certificate, and a retained sample from each batch is archived for three years to support facade warranty discussions.
